Sunset Park Campground
Located at the far (south) end of Sunset Park, near the bird tower and the Yakoun River Estuary, the Village owns and operates its municipal campground year-round.
While the peak season is mid-May to mid-October, there are daring campers who come in the off-season and brave the winter storms. The campground has ten (10) cozy camping spots (six for RVs, and four for tenting) and a large public gazebo for picnicking. Nestled in-between the trees, mossy and with an unkempt beauty, this campground is for campers looking to embrace nature in a very basic facility.
Services in the campground are limited and simple. There are outhouses, potable water at taps, and electrical hookups in the RV sites. There is no internet or wifi, no shower facilities and no laundry facilities in the campground or in the community (there is internet at the Vancouver Island Regional Library branch during their hours).
Campground reservations can only be made online, we do not take reservations or payments over the phone.
